BIRS-CMO Workshop: Sparse interpolation, rational approximation, and exponential analysis at Casa Matemática Oaxaca, Mexico. Our group co-organizes the workshop. Several CMA members participate.

Ridalise Louw (Stellenbosch University, South Africa) starts a 5-month stay at our group on the research project "Multivariate rational interpolation of antenna design data". Her stay is funded by an Erasmus Mundus grant.

The 4th Dolomites Workshop on Constructive Approximation and Applications (Alba di Canazei, Italy) dedicated to Annie Cuyt on the occasion of her 60th birthday. Our group organizes the “sparse approximation” session. Several CMA members participate and give talks.

Milestones in Computer Algebra (MICA 2016) celebrating the research of Erich Kaltofen (University of Waterloo, Canada) co-organized by Wen-shin Lee. She also gives a survey talk on “sparse interpolation.”
